Czech Republic
In the Czech Republic there were (and are, of course!) a lot of cities too see. Brno was the first big city in the Czech Republic when coming from Slovakia. We also saw Austerlitz, Kutna Hora, Prague, Lidice, and Pilsen (the last being liberated by the Americans). They were pretty proud of having been liberated by them, and not the Soviets. Kutna Hora had a strange sight, an ossuary, which I was more or less forced to see by the others. The little village of Lidice was especially poignant to see. Not one single house was left standing during the war. More than half of its citizens were killed by the Nazis.
