Baden-Württemberg

The first stop in Baden-Württemberg was Heilbronn, a city which I have wanted to visit since the last time we were in the state on 31 December 2005. It would take 104 minutes to go to Heilbronn from Karlsruhe with tram, so we gave up the idea.

We decided to go to Mineralbad Bad Cannstatt and take a bath in the afternoon. It was extremely hot, and to walk on the stone pavement on top of the building was an unpleasant surprise. Later in the evening, we saw the game between Germany and Italy together with 100,000 Germans and Italians in Stuttgart on the Schlossplatz on 4 July 2006. Everyone was excited until the 119 Minute of the game, and then only a few people on the Schlossplatz screamed with joy. My GF and I decided to take a taxi to our hotel to avoid bad feelings after a lost game for the Germans.
