Bavaria

Gut, dass es Bayern gibt. Good that Bavaria exists. I like this phrase, and I saw it on a postcard when we visited Bavaria last year. German cities are pretty boring on Sundays, nothing is open, and that was what happened in Nuremberg in 2005. This year we gave the city a better chance - on a weekday. We could see the stone steps where the Nazis paraded during the dictatorship. However, Nuremberg is not only about Nazi history, but also about the old town and fashionable shops. One store had a DJ of its own. We had never seen anything quite like it before.

Hof is the first major city you encounter when coming from eastern Germany, and we simply had to visit it. Not a spectacular city like Nuremberg and Munich, but ok. We also visited AUDI's home city of Ingolstadt. We saw some bathers in the river of Donau. Lindau on the Lake Constance was a fantastic gem, and we really loved it. The last pictures are from the German-Austrian border.
