Rothenburg ob der Tauber and Schwäbisch Hall
The highlight of the day was of course Rothenburg ob der Tauber. It was the second time of our lives we visited the city. They have an intact city wall from the Middle Ages. The reason why they did not do away with it in the 18th Century like so many other cities was that they could not really afford it. One of their specialites is called a snowball, a mixture between a biscuit and cake. It was ok to eat, but not more than that (photo number 12). The last three pictures show Schwäbisch Hall, the city we intended to go to when we were in Stuttgart in the winter of 2005/2006, but ended up in Schwäbisch Gmünd by mistake. The very last photo shows a famous view of the town. When we were in Schwäbisch Hall we thought of seeing the game between Sweden and Russia in a pub, but then we would arrive so late in Stuttgart.
