London February-March 2026
We drove down to Arlanda in our Mercedes X214 and went with British Airways to London. As we wanted to see flowers we headed for Green Park and St James's Park, and there were daffodils all over the parks. Cherry Blossom trees had started budding but at the end of the following week they were in full bloom. On Wednesday and Thursday the sun was out and the daffodils in the parks were especially magnificent in sunlight. We walked in Greenwich Park, too, with all its sights. New this year was that we even walked to Blackheath Hill, which is adjacent to Greenwich Park.
On the Underground I saw commercials for the play Shadowland in the Aldwych Theatre. The star actor from Downton Abbey, Hugh Bonneville, played the lead role, so I decided I wanted to see the play.
We tried some new dishes this time, like bagels with salted beef and bread with chicken. But always a favorite is a hamburger from Five Guys.
