Neuschwanstein
Neuschwanstein is situated in the little town of Füssen in southern Bavaria, close to the Austrian border. King Ludwig II of Bavaria had the castle built between 1869 and 1886, or at least he tried to, since he died during the building process. The castle remains unfinished today, but it is definitely worth a visit, as you are allowed to see magnificient halls. The castle is a fairy-tale one, at least to my mind. When being there you almost expect Snow White, Sleeping Beauty or Cinderella to appear.
