Ratisbon
Ratisbon - what a strange name. I have not been able to find a proper definition of it, but it seems to be of Celtic origin. The German name sounds better to me: Regensburg. There are a few sights, including the oldest stone bridge in Germany, the gate Porta Praetoria, and the cathedral of Ratisbon. The Altstadt (Old Town) survived the bombings of World War II relatively intact. I saw the Danube for the first time of my life, when I visited the city 17 July.
