Berlin-Karlshorst
Our class from Liljaskolan, TE 00, could not resist visiting the house in which the Soviet Union and the Allies received the German unconditional surrender the 8th of May 1945. Soviet wanted a confirmation of the capitulation in Reims the day before, and the document was signed in Berlin-Karlshorst on the outskirts of Berlin. Ever since Reims the 8th of May is called Victory in Europe Day. In the pictures there are colleagues and students. The last two pictures show the room in which the capitulation was signed.
