It was drizzling from Stockholm down to Småland, but it stopped well before we reached Vimmerby. Lizette insisted on going to Katthult, where they shot the series Emil in Lönneberga (Michel in German). She also wanted to see the factory where they had made her old furniture, so we headed to Virserum. We were a little bit too full of sightseeing, so we did not see Växjö properly, for example Utvandrarnas hus (Swedish Emigrant Institute). We were drawing closer to our destination for the evening, Lund, but first we saw Carolus Linneaus's home Råshult (picture 10). The birthplace of IKEA was also of interest, Älmhult, and some cities of Skåne, Hässleholm (the last pictures) and Höör (not depicted). |
