The Furka Pass and Realp

We wanted to take the car train between Oberwald and Realp, but we missed the train with 4 minutes, and the next train was not due for an hour, so we then had to take on the Furka Pass, which took us 55 minutes to pass, and then we had stopped for taking photos and asking if we could stay the night at the hotel in picture number 6 (we could not agree on the price).

One thing I particularly like about the passes is the cows grazing. They have bells around their necks, and it sounds reassuring. In picture 17 we found our hotel for the night Hotel des Alpes, a ***-hotel, with friendly staff.

In the morning we set out for Chur and Liechtenstein, and we had to go by another pass on the way to Chur, but according to the maps it does not seem to have a name. We stopped at a lay-by and were looking at Andermatt and the Gotthard Pass (picture 22-25), when I had the idea of us walking the pass in 2009. Lizette did not say no, and we might do it next year. It depends on how fit we are, as the pass is 2,108 metres above sea level.
