Uppsala - always a Short Stopover
Uppsala is indeed a nice and beautiful city, but it has one drawback. It is too close to Arlanda or Stockholm. You are either too tired after a long journey from Umeå or to excited starting your trip back to Umeå. Sometimes we have managed to stay long enough to take pictures. Uppsala has 185 000 people in the whole municipality, making it the fourth largest city in Sweden. Its sights are numerous: the oldest university in the Nordic Countries, Sweden's most important cathedral with the grave of Gustav Vasa, an old renaissance castle, and my favourite shopping place IKEA of Sweden.
