There were enormous celebrations of the coming of the new year of 2006. Sometimes it got out of hand, when fireworks came along the street towards cars and passers-by. There were also large bombs detonating between the houses, so that the sound bounced between the walls, which was quite ear-splitting. We came to the Schlossplatz at 23.00, and the party had already started. 80 minutes later, we had had enough and walked back to the station through the park. We noticed that all the snow had melted away.
