London October-November 2017
As we love London we went there on October 29-5 November 2017. We decided to stay in the Tower Hotel, close to the Tower of London and Tower Bridge, as I had wanted to stay in the hotel since 1992, the first time we were in London. We played table tennis in Paternoster Square, walked in the parks of London, went up in Wellington Arch at Hyde Park Corner, saw the new bright lights at Piccadilly Circus, went up in the scyskraper 20 Fenchurch Street and had a magnificent view of the City of London as well as being in Sky Garden, a garden at the top of the building. We also saw my three favorite paintings in the National Gallery, had afternoon tea at Caffé Concerto in Piccadilly, and biked with our friend Stefan, who came to London to be with us. We had a good time turfing during our stay, and Lizette was the best turfer in London during round 88, so she was awarded the Region Medal.
